A downloadable game for Windows and Linux

Light Level Negative is currently in alpha. While I have an assortment of planned features to add, (Detailed Below) the project as is is exceptionally bare bones as of now. that being said, you are all absolutely welcome to download it regardless and see what I have accomplished thus far. any advice, suggestions, or other such comments will be highly appreciated!

Campaign Mode Overview
Light Level Negative is a Multi-Genre Game Project set within a decaying metalwork labyrinth named "The Complex." The Complex hosts a variety of robotic drones and salvageable machines, of which you are one. within the complex, electric power is neither abundant made nor frivolously wasted, and serves as a form of universal currency among the wandering drones.

Early Game: [IN DEVELOPMENT]
You begin the game as just another derelict drone within the halls of The Complex, until another Salvage Drone finds you, and in an uncharacteristic gesture of kindness, brings you to a nearby Generator Outpost to get you fixed up. Unfortunately, repairs are costly, and your savior's charity is running thin. placing the debts of the repair on you, he sends you out to repay your debt by gathering salvage and returning it to the Outpost.

The early game is characterized by repeating the basic game play loop of exploring various zones near the Outpost for scrap, while avoiding dangers like hostile drones and environmental hazards.

Early-Mid Game: [NOT YET IMPLEMENTED ]
After paying off your debt, the outpost lets you access the Faction Communicator, allowing you to communicate with the various factions viewing for control over the scrap and salvage of The Complex. choose and support a faction and begin completing tasks for them for upgrades to both your hardware and software.

The early-mid game is characterized by the ability to leave the proximity of the Outpost, allowing you to find various factions and either build or erode your status with them by completing quests.

Mid Game: [NOT YET IMPLEMENTED ]
Soon, your exploits and fervor for your chosen faction become remarkable. as a reward for your diligence, your faction leader gives you an Outpost Charter, allowing you to claim a zone of your choosing as your own personal base of operations under the lordship of your faction.

The mid game is characterized by a switch from controlling a single drone to controlling your own Faction Outpost. Including an array of salvaging drones to manage and assign tasks to, a local economy to maintain, and the ability to engage in cross-faction trade.

Mid-Late Game: [NOT YET IMPLEMENTED ]
After a while, you gain the opportunity to leave your faction. (either by violent revolution, or gaining outstanding favor within your faction.) gaining your independence allows you to set up relations with other factions as you climb to power on the grand stage.

The mid-late game is characterized by being able to engage in diplomatic discussions with other factions, letting you negotiate border boundaries, create trade contracts, preform political favors, and engage in inter-faction espionage.

Late game: [NOT YET IMPLEMENTED ]
With your rise into the diplomatic stage comes tension. eventually, the other factions truly register you as the threat that you are, and begin to conspire against you or form deep political/economic bonds.

The late game yet again enlarges the scale yet again, going from a localized strategy game to a 4X strategy experience where you vie for dominance over the entirety of The Complex.

Sandbox/Free play: [NOT YET IMPLEMENTED ]
After accessing a level of play through the campaign (Detailed Above) you can freely begin a new game at that level of play and proceed onward at your own leisure.

Again, Implementation of further features will begin as soon as possible, thank you for your patience!
